2024 Centenary Park Charity Day
The team of Di Wardle, Wendy Hunter, Jan Crosbie and Deb Sal played in the Drop Out Ambrose event at Centenary Park on October 17th. It was a beautiful day and the course was in great condition despite 3 temporary greens. The Centenary Park ladies put on a fabulous day for the 80 players with lucky numbers, guess the number of tees in a jar, a putting competition on the practice putting green, many, many raffles and a delicious roast chicken lunch. There was even BBQ sausages and cakes to buy between the 9th and 10th holes. A representative from One Golf, spoke (one of their many sponsors), as did speaker from their charity, Mums Supporting Mums In Need. Di and Wendy both won fantastic hampers. We hope to play there again next year!
Mixed Foursomes
Congratulations to Gerard MacIsaac and Sheryn McInerney who teamed up to win the Mixed Foursomes event at Glen Waverley Golf Club. Their win makes them eligible to represent the GWGC at the VGL Mixed Foursomes event to be held at Dorset Golf Club on November 17th.
There were 13 pairs entered, the number of teams playing restricted by the number of ladies available to play. The weather and course were perfect on the day. Thank you to Sheryn who organised and picked up the lunch and to all of the helpers on the day
